I really couldn't grok this when it was fresh and cool. Way too avant guard for this unenlightened savage. Even living in the go go bubble economy of Tokyo in the 80's didn't prepare me for JL and the LL.. But now I get it. Now I hear the genius. Funny though, hearing it takes me back to those times. Maybe something did get through even then.....
