Bugs and his pretty wife sang to us as we crossed on the ferry from Nova Scotia to Newfoundland. He played an unusual fiddle made from a one gallon oil can. I find that the Newfoundlanders have music tastes akin to our own here in Northern Ireland. Nice to see someone from Portstewart appreciates it too. I can see Portstewart from my place in the hills above Castlerock and Articlave.

Second waltz is called "The Boston Burgler", third is called " A mother's love is a Blessing"...
I know that first waltz as "The Mockingbird" (and I too am not sure if that is the full title or not). It has words that go...." When the sun in the morning peeps over the hill, and kisses the flowers round my window sill,.....(and so on) Chorus:Tra-la-la Triddle- a- de-de, it gives me a thrill To wake up in the morning to the mocking bird's trill . Tra-la-la Triddle_a de-de there's peace and good will. You're welcome as the flowers round my window sill.
