From Spring Hill, Tenn., to Granite City, Ill., and Fort Wayne, Indiana, the impact of the auto industry touches nearly every community in the nation. If the industry collapses, not just auto workers will be affected. Everyone from firefighters to teachers and small-business owners will feel the pain. Watch this video to see why this fight matters to all of us.

  • This is the worst argument for saving GM. If a million people were employed making turds in a box would you argue that we should keep buying turds in a box just so they can stay employed? I think a more constructive argument would be for people to find different sources of work. The problem is when an entire town works at the same plant. I'm not being insensitive to the people that lost their jobs. I'm just being realistic.

  • i really hope they bring this place back

  • We as Union workers all feel for the people that work for G.M. Its really sad that G.M. doesn't care about the American Worker. If they did they wouldn't have closed Plants all around America and ship those jobs to MEXICO. If G.M. wants a bailout find give it to them but tie a condition to it, that for every $1,000.00 in bailout they must create a job in the U.A.W.... Don't just give them the money. WAKE-UP CONGRESS.
