Lol! The reason why these "precedents" were overturned Senator Feinstein is because they had no constitutional justification for their existence in the first place. Your views on the Second Amendment and everything else in the Constitution is not at all consistent with what those who ratified the Constitution had intended. If conservatism was a founding principle of our country, then we would still be part of the British Empire. Our country was found on revolutionary principles based on ideas from the Enlightenment, not conservative principles.
You're also confusing the definitions of "conservatism." The political definition of the word is not so much preservation but maintaining the status quo.
