The 3DS has a slider so you can tone down or completely remove the 3D effect. And actually, I think the 3D effect is to make you more immersed in the game, thus bringing you into their world. I still think 3D should die a swift death.

@CROCKETTACK look i like sony, and nintendo, but point your mixing the point. You are saying "Well if it is 3d it is bringing us back into reality where we want to get away from". The point of 3D is to escape your own reality and enter the "Their" reality of what the creator is trying to make you feel. But you do have a point about 3D but you never know until 3ds comes out in full swing.
