  • man, you beat ryan hart in bei jing back in 2008, i wish you have made the team man...

  • @KevinBresser yeah no worries, im no expert on the matter either...

He still has a shot to make the team in the 10k, should be interesting!

  • @marunner1975 ok yeah i totally agree with you, and i admit i jumped on your comment before i finished watching the entire video. what i said assumed that he even *wanted* to matter in the marathon. i guess its easy to fall into the marathon trap because theres so much money and hype there. Who knows he what he can do if he really plays to his strengths.

  • @KevinBresser Yes, i just made an assumption of why he was layed up for 6 months...

or just burned out. I guess my point was that someone with his ability in the "shorter" races should not make the marathon the integral focus... I guy like Ryan Hall or meb on ther otherhand, that is definietly their race regardless of age. I just think it is kind of a waste of talent, to put the 10k on the back burner... and regress in the marathon.

  • @marunner1975 the marathon isnt an old man's sport anymore. although i agree that focusing on 10k would be good for him, if he wants to matter in the marathon, it wont happen when he's in his mid 30's. The 6 months off was because of an infection after an operation... not solely because of injury.

  • With a 12:56 5k and at his age he needs to be thinking about

what he can do in the 10k....

Once in his early to mid 30's as the career may be winding down, then do marathons.

The marathon is wrecking him, hence the 6 months off.

  • Not just sub 27:00 in 2012, but sub 26:50!! Go get it!!!

  • I really enjoyed the smooth Jazz in the background

  • You're great, Ritz! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
