12/20/08: Ken Haggett and his 18 Peace Pups are a home-grown dog sledding team in Lake Elmore. For years now they have been pulling dog-lovers through the wintry wonderlands of Vermont.

Exxon is the alpha dog (left), Dubois is the lead dog who almost died as a pup, and Muddy is a little jumpy. Each Siberian Husky is a complete individual with unique markings, a distinct bark and an urge to RUN.

I wanted no dogs then took a dog cuz he was left by owner,then dog 2 was brot unexpctdly, then my sis gav us her 2 dgs cuz she had no room. Each different all extra work . At 1st I didnt want the husky cuz hes so big,now I'm planning to build a street sled only for the husky . Ive becom caretaker & trainer and hav a vision of a 6-husky team pulling my sled to the beach..I'll need to hire some escorts to keep the team safe.

3 things i love: snow/coldness, Big Dogs, and nature! I WANT TO GO DOG SLEDDING so bad!!! I'm glad they only use Siberian Huskies. I don't like it when dog sledders use mutts and ruin the beauty of a team... Not that i don't like mutts. About how much does it cost to keep a dog sledding team?
