i agree that it is RARE to have a friend of the opposite sex that you are not attracted to, but it is possible if the guy is not a dog. i have a guy friend who has NEVER hit on me (and i am single A LOT)- i always stay at his place when i am in his town. he is now married, and we remain friends. i've even stayed at his place during his engagement. we aren't attracted to each other, so there was no issue, and the wife was never jealous bc she is a confident woman. (and no, i am not ugly)

Women don't want to hear it because a female friendship only life sounds kinda bleak. Women can be catty and envious towards each other.

@barber747 - The woman may not have a sexual attraction to the man, but the man will still be tempted to bang the woman, even if she's ugly because he knows he can. It's harder for men to get sex than women which is why women are judged for sleeping around and men aren't judged as harshly for doing the same thing. but that's cause people know for a woman to sleep around is a woman doing something she's able to easily do, but sleeping around for a man requires skill, a man's gonna take a hookup

Well according to Steve Harvey's own wife, he certainly became more than a friend to another woman. So he was a dog who can't handle being in the company of women for his own reasons.
