BN U30C #5383 passes the diesel shop at the Illinois Railway Museum. It was built in 1974. The U30C was universally unpopular due to reliability issues. I rode in 5383's cab a couple years ago and it stalled on this stretch of track due to electrical problems - thanks IRM, authentic! :)
Looks great here with new paint and has a nice rambling chug from its massive 16 cylinder 3000 HP prime mover. Canon T2i with Rode VideoMic.
