Yes the Sikkens paint is top class BUT The Sikkens lacquer has always been a flaker.......

It's great, much better finish and easier to use.
Iwata W400 is also a great gun. With RP 3000 I use 2,3 bars and with the Iwata I use about 2,5 bars.
In Norway were I live waterborn paint has been requiered since the 1990's.
Sikkens have a waterborn clearcoat to, very nice finish but I dont now how good the quality is and you have to mix alot of components.

@ballan2 I heard the RP 3000 sprays CC the best. In Massachusetts we have to use HVLP. We also just switched to sikkens autowave basecoat system (water-born) Because that also is a coming requirement in this state. It's actually a very nice base coat system.

Sata Jet RP 3000 with a 1,2 nozzle is so much better for spraying clear coat then the HVLP2000. I highly recommend it. We use Sikkens at my work to.

@MrAdamseye It's only a matter of time. Painter, spraygun, camera. Keep trying it. I wrapped the camera in plastic and taped it to the gun, Liked the vantage point that showed the trigger action.

Nice gear and possibly the best matching paint, but sikkens lacquer has always been known to curl and flake......I would rate lesonal..a cheaper .sikkens bedfellow.. as a superior quality lacquer... at least it stays on the panel..

@007352 Yep. That was Autobase Plus. We are spraying Autowave now.
