That bass drummer...gee the beat...awesome sound..they have me jumping around the room...

The Brothers were the house band at "The Electric Circus" in 2wk stints, trading places with the likes of "Sly & the...Family...".
Theyd play their entire album plus some, and always set up perfectly-
Id still like to know who the white boys were that always seemed to fill in the band?
The always seem to be different.

Originally by Wilson Pickett. This is a Classic. I have the album pictured above in mint condition.
Wilson Pickett is a Memphis artist. I grew up there in the 50s to 70s when the music from this city was known worldwide. Many national artists then covered these songs or recorded there at times.

One of the reason I joined Utube was to get this song on. I had it on an 8 track tape as a teeneger....(so you know how old I am.. ) Always was and still is a favorite of mine..so glad you enjoyed !!!!

Thanks, I have taken the album (LP) and converted it to CD. I was about 21 when this song was released, so at 63, I am even older than you. The drums and everything in this song is fantastic. It was released at a time when AM stations did not want anything over about 3 minutes long, but FM stations were beginning to feature albums. I heard it on FM-100 in Memphis and was blown away.

Not much older...LOL...only 3 years. At the time I was living in Los Angeles, and my nephew would take us "cruisin' " and we would listen to the tape...windows down. Beings 5 years younger than him, I thought we were so cool !! I still "turn it up" when it plays....Love it !!! Oh yeah !! I am 60...so we are not to far apart..!!! At 16 yrs. old we moved back to the country..and here I have stayed..!! You have a good night !!
