As their hands touched Miley looked up to see Joe staring at her as he smiled. But the moment was interrupted when a pink blackberry started singing Breathless by Shayne Ward (great song). She looked up at him with apologetic eyes as she removed her hands from his. He nodded at her and gave her a small smile, giving her permission to answer the phone. Hello, she answered. Hey Mi, come home mom and dad want to eat dinner already, Ashley said. Just start dinner without me Ill be there soon, she rolled her eyes then hung up and put her phone back in her pocket. She sighed in frustration as the rain started pouring down on the two of them, who were now the only ones still sitting there. Even the workers had gone. My hair, Joe exclaimed as he quickly put his arms over his head trying to cover it from getting wet. No anything but the hair, he screamed. Soon enough he heard a sweet musical laughter and looked up to see Miley laughing and with that the rain slowly stopped and the moon came out once again. He put his arms down and smiled at the girl with the musical laughter who was sitting in front of her. As he saw how happy he made her he realized he had to tell her the truth soon. Something he knows he will lose her by telling her and he doesnt want to lose her again. As she slowly stopped laughing she looked up at the sky to see it was pitch dark outside. Slowly the memories came back of that night. On that night no one could hear her muffled screams that the thunder blocked out. After that night she never went out in the dark ever. John do you mind walking me home, she asked with fear in her eyes. It would make sense if I did, I mean we are neighbors, he smiled releasing a chuckle. He looked at her hoping to hear some laughter but all he saw was a frightened face starting to stand up. He got up and they starting walking by each other. As they walked Miley started thinking about all the possible things that could happen even to this amazing guy who she was soon falling in love with. She quickly dug her face into his arm and held on to him tight. Joe looked down and smiled at her but soon that smile faded away once he saw how scared she was. He removed his arms from her and put his arms around her and she leaned over, feeling his body against hers. He looked down and saw a tear escape her eyes. He was yearning to know as to why she was like this but he didnt want to upset her anymore so he just quietly continued walking, letting all her tears fall on him. As they walked farther Joe heard a click he looked down to see that one of Mileys heels had broken but she kept limping by his side. He stopped walking and she stopped along with him. What happened, she whispered as she looked up to him with her red puffy eyes. He then picked her up bridal style and started walking again. All she did was dig her face in his chest and grab onto his neck. By the time they arrived to her house she was sound asleep. He then lightly knocked on the door. Selena opened the door and smiled as she saw him holding Miley. Take her right up, she smiled then opened the door wider for him to fit through. He then quietly and carefully walked up with Miley in his arms and walked into her room and set her down on her bed. He took off her heels and all the jewelry she was wearing then set them on her dresser and tucked her in. He looked at her angelic face that was now laying there facing forward. He sat down next to her and a picture caught his attention on the corner of his eye. It was a picture of him and her when they were younger on their first date at the carnival. Joe, he heard a voice whisper. He turned his attention to see Miley laying there with her eyes still closed. She was sleep talking like she usually does. You broke my heart how could I forgive you, she said as she started moving around. The truth is I-
