3 women, 2 from the UK, one from the US, sing a traditional Corsican paghjella, a polyphonic song, at the end of a workshop taught by Frank Kane and Jean-Etienne Langianni at a convent on the east side of the island of Corsica.

We were about to leave Corsica and go home, nobody had really woken up yet, but I wanted to record this song with the maqui in the background, while it was still fresh in our minds.

With more practice it will be great COntinue !! Saluti

  • @adrien2b1 Because we now have highly produced music always in our ears via MP3 players, people have come to believe that music should be perfect. Studio musicians do multiple takes and use the best pieces of them to create an illusion of a perfect performance. Youtube is the interface for the imperfect. If you want to see the 3 of us really messing up, check out our "beach Paghjella." At least the ocean and sky in the background are beautiful!

  • @adrien2b1 Silly person! Not being able to sing is a terrible reason to stop singing!

  • @synchro153

no, just a womanly woman with a very low voice!

  • @janicebough thanks
