A standard medical walker makes a great compact dip home station. I picked this one up for $5 at a garage sale. It folds and is easily stored under the bed or in the closet. Elastic bands can be used as a means to aid in the upward movement for those just starting out. No need to buy expensive Dip bars at a fitness equipment store. Throw in a doorway chin-up bar and you have two of the best upper body excercises you can do, and the best part is the cost was minimum.

  • I bought a like-new one yesterday for $8 from a consignment store.

  • @mrfranchize02 I lent one of mine to my father-in-law, he really needed it as a walker, I tossed it in the trunk of my car. The next week while at a speed skating workout at a park I busted it out for the team to use. A couple of weeks later there's someone else at the park using one for dips as part of their workout. It's catching on!

  • @staphinfection Granted I didn't make it, I'm simply taking an item designed for one use and using it for another. The "homemade" I added as a target word for people looking to improvise and save a few dollars on home exercise equipment, most of which is overpriced and over rated. FYI- Thrift stores typically have a variety of walkers for sale.
