  • If marriage is religious, then tax benefits and other state controlled benefits should not depend on your marital status, and married couples should not reap benefits that the rest of us can't get.

  • This is 2011, how is marriage equality still not the norm in most states? Here in Canada, a national law recognizes marriage equality, and gives all people the same benefits and rights. Seeing this makes me cry, the fact that this poor man, who did absolutely nothing wrong, was killed because of an idiotic, closed minded law. May this good man rest in peace, and may the states change their definition marriage, supporting marriage equality.

  • Ouch, that sucks. People might think that is too up in your face, but the fact is that it happened and its not fair! sometimes people need a slap in the face to see what is in front of them.

  • Civil Marriage is a constitutional right. The fact that a couple can not marry automatically makes them second class citizens. No one has the right to deny other citizens with their rights. Either everybody should be able to marry or noone should.
