Yeah, my mom was a Republican & my best friend was an independent & now after all my praise of Obama, they both changed their party affiliations to Democrat to vote for him in the primaries.

I asked my parents why they don't support Senator Obama and they said, "Well, we just don't think that America is ready for a black president. He probably won't win"
This sincerely saddened me. My response to this is to fight those with this perspective. Tell them, "You are America. If you support Barack, then America IS ready." Please don't let this way of thinking continue. America deserves better. America is better. Hope in 08.

If the primary is Hillary vs. Obama, it'd be Obama without question.
