Why not side mount an M-203 on an AK-47, plonk on an under barrel shotgun, add on a Red dot sight, beast up the clip and add a laser site

Hrm. Ergonomics on that might be iffy (to say the least).

The laser sight would be superfluous with a red dot or reflex sight. You could use larger magazines, sure. Maybe even a 75-round drum. If you had both a launcher and a shotgun mounted on it, the shotgun would likely be the one offset to the side.

Here's how I see it. You take a Groza-1, which is basically a bullpup AK (7.62x39mm unlike the OC-14 Groza which uses the newer subsonic 9x39 cartridge), with the standard integral grenade launcher (which, I think, is basically an integrated version of the GP-30), and you replace the carry handle with a very compact shotgun. Rifle sights and flip-up ladder sight would be intact. The shotgun would likely be double-barrel rather than a repeater and would open sideways to the left.
