Squid and I have started to do some obedience training again after a long break. This is some training on distant control, where the goal is for her to change position on cue without moving her back paws at all when I'm 15 meters away. I have started to add the cues "bak" (sit from stand) and "upp" (sit from a down) and also use cues that she knows from before - "ligg" (down from a sit) and "stå" (stand from a sit). Two positions left to work on - down from a stand and stand from a down.

  • Wonderful, what FAST responses!

  • Well done and great job! I will try this with my dog some time. :)

  • So fascinating to watch, thanks for posting!

  • Thanks for posting this excellent video. I always thought you had to train with front legs stationary, but this seems better.

  • great control! It's interesting watching her move into a stand without moving the back feet. Most people around here train it so the dog doesn't move their front feet but pops out the back feet behind them!

  • This looks great! Its the same what i was training this evening
