Download something called Peer Blocker. A quick explanation of how they get your information...
Every time you load up the internet (and even when you're not browsing) peers from other towns, cities and countries are scanning the internet for connections. They use programs to connect with other computers and read their data. Peer Blocker shows you just how many of the hundreds of computers that are out there, reading your info. My stepdad has PCs from china tryna read his data all the time.

Just tell them you don't have a computer lol

They called me twice today. During the second phonecall I said that I had talked to Microsoft Support (the real) and he tried to convince me that they were the once scamming me... It all ended with him saying "F*'k You". I asked him what he just said, he said something else and then hung up.

Just received this call. I knew it had to be a scam! Where I can report him. He hung up on me.

@bigice00 I don't know. Have had a look at "get safe online" website (-search site for "telephone scam") etc but not found out yet.

Got a call from these people minutes ago and thought it was shonky so I didn't turn on my cpu but then my mum was like "They said the cpu is infected" or something so I went along with it. I got up to the event viewer then they transferred my call to this other indian who we couldn't understand but we haven't downloaded any software; do you think we're safe from it? They keep ringing us so would that mean they haven't gotten what they wanted? I'm considering disconnecting the phone hahah

@HPHyenadon As long as you didn't let them on your system remotely using the Teamviewer software, you should be o.k. If they did get that far, I'd recommend at least changing your passwords (-email, login, etc), running a full virus scan (not a quick scan), download and run malwarebytes to scan & remove malware. As you say, the fact that they keep calling suggests they didn't get that far. Ask them lots of questions - see my part 2 video - & report it to local police.

i live in Singapore and i received this call a few days ago. I didn't catch the guy's name because he had a really strong accent. He told me to switch on any one of my computers that runs on windows os and he kept emphasizing that it was a"very serious problem" I got as far as the "event viewer" part then googled t " windows service centre". Hung up while he transferred the call to another person. Im wondering if they already have access to the information on my pc ? how can i protect my com now?

@jltful89 You should be o.k. as long as they didn't connect to your computer with teamviewer/other remote software. Event viewer is o.k - it's one of the diagnostic tools on your PC which generates its own reports. The scammers try to mislead you into thinking its error messages mean something serious is wrong. If they did get access to your PC with Teamviewer though, I'd change all your passwords, do a full virus scan & run anti-malware software (eg malwarebytes).
