not all the others, but most others. As the sales figures should obviously tell you. From an objective standpoint i think the Half life franchise is better - but call of duty gives me a whole other kind of thrill.

really? what other shooter gives you this level of visceral awesomeness and gives you the amazing in your face "holy shit what just happened?" filled story arc that defines immersion? Now I'm not saying its the best shooter out there - but in its niche of gameplay type, its right up there. Seriously. if you haven't played through the MW1 singleplayer campaign - do it. its truly an experience.
