Panda Girl

The Pandaren are coming! To celebrate the imminent launch of World of Warcraft's Mists of Pandaria game expansion, I figured to make (another) silly movie/song. I'd primarily like to thank (Silver) Letomi especially, who came to my rescue when some of my backing vocals were suffering from Extreme Blah™. Thanks so much!

When I started working on Panda Girl, I hadn't counted on the swarm of difficulties I'd end up swimming through, because the MoP Beta and WoW patch updates simply didn't want to play with WoW Model Viewer; oddly enough, it was the 'closed eyes' bug that gave me the idea for Private Parker dancing in his sleep :P My foremost problem was with Hair, and a missing tail. The solution was painstaking, because I had to do it every time I used WMV (and too scared to tinker in case I broke it). Open model control, click available options. The 'loincloth' can be removed by unchecking 31 and 34. The female tail is 35-36; viable hairstyles sit around 46-51 (I used 49 for Panda Girl). This, however, is nothing compared to the face/body bugs of human males. Props to the WMV team for working on new software!

I'm pleased to report that there's a large number of new 'martial' animations in the WoW stable, so I daresay there will be LOT of chuck-norris-esque machinima being released in the wake of MoP's 25 September launch, it's gonna be fun!
