Nas has 7 albums that have went platinum and two gold records. Stop trying to paint Nas as an underground hip hop act that never blew up.

@redlineboi305 People stopped listening to Nas as much because he "sold out" as well.. he started to give in to the money too.. meaning that in the end whoever's on top now is there because he worked harder.. not because one gave in to the money or not.. it's just Jay's very successful attempt at commercial success trumps Nas's attempt at it.. Nas to most, including myself, is a better lyricist but everyone, even Nas, knows Jay's been more successful .. 10+ #1 albums .. nuff said

@redlineboi305 I agree with most of what you said, except for the last part. I have more respect for Nas for keeping it real, than Jay making money. Anyways both of them were untouchable in the 90s

Both Nas and Jay have sick ass flows and lyrics. Difference is that Jay gave in to the money and made an icon of himself while Nas remains street. Also, Jay grew up, made moves to live a good life with legit money so that he could make money till he dies in a way that wont get him arrested. Jay is a business man, he knew how to become what he is today and he did it, while Nas remains what he use to be, except with a little more money. I got love for both but you have to respect Jay
