The 'Big Man' who threw an apparent fare dodger off a train, has been charged with assault.
Alan Pollock, 35, allegedly intervened in an argument between student Sam Main and a ticket collector who claimed the teenager did not have a valid ticket and should 'get off' the train.
Main, 19, has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal for a breach of the peace and trespass.
The incident, on board the 9.33 pm Edinburgh to Perth service on December 9, was filmed by a fellow passenger and posted on YouTube, where it has since been viewed almost two million times.
British Transport Police said today: 'British Transport Police can now confirm that a 35-year-old man from Stirling and a 19-year-old man from Falkirk are the subject of a report to the local Procurator Fiscal in connection with an incident on-board the 21:33 Edinburgh Waverley to Perth service, at Linlithgow on Friday 9 December 2011.'
It is understood that Pollock, a performance manager with asset management company BlackRock, who lives in Stirling's Riverside district, has been charged by police with assaulting Main.
What about the conductor, is he still working? He should face disciplinary action.
