I just found out today that I torn my lateral meniscus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I go in for surgery on the 28 of this month!!!!!!!!!!!! If you want more info read the annotions or Post a comment.
Nov. 4: it has been one week since my surgery and I am doing well. It turns out I was lucky enough to just remove the tear I was also lucky because my meniscus is very large in comparison to the size of my knee so my meniscus is the normal size now. I am able to walk on my own but use crutches at school and plan to be off of them completely in two weeks.Will update later once I have recovered more.
I got meniscus repair surgery done one & half month back.After three week of light exercises I obsreved that my knee got swollen.Should I continue my exercise or take rest more.I am also using knee brace so I am not feeling any pain.My Doc is great.Thanx Doc.

It shouldn't the only thing that would affect your growth is if there was something wrong with the growth plate in your knee

oh i got another question. If i have to regain my muscle on my thighs. Will that effect my growth?

Hmm well if you want to the doctor's and they gave you a knee brace and it doesn't hurt that I guess its ok just keep working on your muscle maybe try something a little easier on the knee like bike riding?

well i already did go to the doctors. they gave me a brace that has a rubber thing on it. So it will stop the grinding. but when i do lunges it doesnt hurt. it just feels weired you know? i have to do lunges cause i have no muscle in my thighs cause of my injury. I havnt been using my right leg for a while. sorry for my bad english grammer :P

Grinding in your knees is not a really good thing, I don't really know much but I do know that. I am pretty sure that grinding means that there isn't enough fluid in your joints, if it hurts when you do the lunges stop and go see a doctor... sorry if I wasn't much help =[

I have grinding on my knees. and i have to regain muscle on my thighs. i have been doing lunges but i feel the grinding everyime. is this bad for my knee? should i stop doing lunges when i feel grinding?
