This is a personal record for me. Completing a video in three hours time! Wow, I can't believe I did it that fast.

Anyway, Happy Valetine's Day to all. Enjoy watching the review, and then go out and watch the show. It's a good one to just snuggle with the one you love and get him/her into anime.

  • Compared to your other reviews, this is nice, but you aren't enunciating clearly enough. No offense.

  • no offense taken. I often mumble without realizing it. just something i need to work on in later reviews. thank you

  • 1. Motoko is not a priestess.

    2. TV Specials are not the same as movies.

    3. Love Hina can be pretty bland for today's anime fans, but it's remembered fondly for replacing Tenchi as "default" harem of the decade, and its highly regarded as most likely the first ever fansub distributed mainly through internet. Still remember those 40mb real media files...

  • 1. Ok, technically you're right. She isn't a priestess. But, as is often the case in anime, priestesses are tasked with dispelling evil spirits. Which is what Motoko does. Also, her dress (white top with red trousers) is often worn by priestesses (see Kikyo from Inuyasha and the one mother from Happy Lesson). So you can consider Motoko's character a branch of the priestess girl.

    2. If Blood: The Last Vampire can be called a movie at 45 minutes, I can call these movies.

    3. Thanks for the insight

  • To anyone watching this review, I'll highly encourage you to read the manga instead of the anime. While you miss out on the voices (Don't watch the dub for that matter), you get three times more out of it then you would this. Tons more character development, good heartwarming arcs and more time to see everyone grow. Not to mention it has a good epilouge.

  • omg lower the volume at the ending it blew my ears off O_O, no offence

  • to comment about the sub versus dub...I have watched both versions, and personally I like the dub. The sub was excellent, I will give credit where credit is due, but after wathcing the anime and seeing the entire nature of the show, the voices of the dubs really to me seemed to match the character. One change would be that I would not give Kitsune that Southern drawl, that just seems to be so stereotypical when you have a character that is supposed to be from the Kansai region of Japan.

  • Not to be rude or racist, but black people don't suit blonde hair. By the way, that little boy was fast, going the same speed as a lorry, you should become a olympics player later =D

  • not to be rude or anything, black people don't suit blonde hair!

  • people out there, read the manga. The anime SUCKS. They alway ruin Akamatsu-sensei's mangas, like Negima.

  • @sleepyeyedplumber AAAHH!! Hate this new YouTube layout already! Can't delete your comment when you make a mistake!

  • 8( What a shock! I saw the whole show in English, didn't mind the dubs, but DIDN'T KNOW THE SUBS WERE SO MUCH BETTER IN SCRIPTWRITING!!

Anyway, good review. I have to admit I disliked the OVA Love Hina Again (except the ending) myself.

  • I would like to request/beg you to review Gundam Seed and Gundam Seed Destiny, their my favorite shows and I'd love to see what you thought of them, thanks :P
