This Upload will be of interest to all fans of Bruce Lee the film NO RETREAT NO SURRENDER (1985) was one of my favorite childhood films. This is the film that inspired me to go and visit Bruce Lee's grave. The film is about Jason Stillwell (Kurt Mckinney) is a self-confessed Bruce Lee fanatic whose only wish is to be just like his hero. When his karate teacher is run of town by the local crime syndicate Jason refuses to stop practising martial arts. He then goes to Bruce Lee's grave site looking for some insperation he is then guided by the spirit of Bruce Lee.

  • What does he keep calling Bruce? It sounds like lee-ta-ga.

  • @frankovich213, I have looked at this film so many times and i still can't make out what he is saying lol.

  • @flairnatureboywoo I feel like such a tool for remembering this, but Bruce Lee tells him early in the movie to call him "Lee-Da-Ga".

  • @medcsu Yes you're right he does, it's lucky he didn't call him lady gaga Bruce would have so kicked him in the nuts.

  • @flairnatureboywoo I think it's supposed to be an attempt at Mandarin Chinese; Lee Da Ge (Brother Lee) so he doesn't have to call him Sensei Lee (Master Lee) in effect.

  • @chanjinhai1 Excellent thanks for that now it makes sense.

  • @chanjinhai1 and you actually hear "bruce lee" say "lee dai go you call me." it's just that the character ends up mispronouncing it.

  • R.I.P Kim Tai Chung, he died this year =(

  • @zzzunforgottenzzz

Sensei means master or teacher yes. It would have been more appropriate to call him Sifu Lee in this though.

  • @frankovich213

    He says; '' Lee The AKA''.As far as i know,it means Sensei,Master in Japanese.But I'm not sure.

  • Interesting, i've watched this when I was a kid, and then i'm watching this the dub is dfferent. Some of the dialog is different too.

  • Chi.... POWER!!! :-D

  • Sensei Lee. Heh

  • @mozmex that's totaly right!!!!!!!couldn't the producer just read a little bit of history?

  • lol i've been wondering for years if he really called him "lee da ga" or if it was just in my imagination, case closed.

so it is you ! the son ?!

  • Youd think Jason would be a little scared or skeptical by seeing a ghost.
