During my early teenage years I've been following 2 artists whom I considers as my greatest influence in music. 1st is Lee Ryan, 2nd is Hwanhee from Fly To The Sky (FTTS). During my high school years, I've enjoyed listening to FTTS's songs, especially Hwanhee cos he has this deep, full and thick voice but can hit high notes powerfully. I kept on listening to him and I thought that the right way to belt a note was the same as his style. It didn't cross my mind that we have different timbres naturally. So I kept on belting notes like he does, but then my throat and vocal chords get tired easily. Cos I've realized that I was lowering my larynx to get that full sound which was unnatural for my voice.

I definitely sound different in this cover. My goal was to come close to Hwanhee's timbre and prove that you can make your voice sound full and thick and with enough training and maturity you can really do it. Whether or not it sounds natural. Of course I do agree that my sound isn't well-rounded in this timbre. But yeah, I was able to do it, and I don't really sing this way all the time.

Fortunately, during my college years I started following Lee Ryan's solo career and listened to his songs. Now I know how to belt properly, I think... Thanks to Lee Ryan. Oh, thanks to Hwanhee also. :)
