Tooooo slow in the Moderato Grazioso.

This overture is made by Li Huan-Shi for western orchestra. But it seems to me that its more beautiful and expressive if Chinese instuments were used....

Impressed by all the violinists, wind players, etc. and the conductor! I sense that the oboist was very careful in doing his solo right after all this was Chinese music.

WoW, it's so fast!
-
@BassClr13 I would say the fast part was a bit to rush. But I love the slow moment and especially the cello part and the Clarinet solo were beautifully played.
-
They have done a terrific job, haven't they?
Just outstanding performance!

I think when they play the Adagio part, they are like to play Mozart or Beethovan's symphony in second movement.

yes, u are corrected. i think they have never heard the actual adagio part of this suite, i.e. the 2nd movement.
the version 2 of this overture i have posted here is much better.

why are the western versions always so fast??

its not only so fast but also too slow. the first and the last part are faster than normal where the mid part (oboe solo) is slower than normal.
