  • This was tested using a few different wattages to see which would work best. The one you will want to use depends on how large your container is, how good your insulation is, what type of thermostat you are using and the temperature of the room where your incubator will be kept.

  • Yes, it seems to me that it would work the same.

  • The fan is used for two purposes. 1.) it helps circulate the air around the thermostat which increases the rate of heat transfer and allows the thermostat to react more quickly to changes in temperature. 2.) it reduces temperature differences in the incubator. Since warm air rises, the top part of the incubator would naturally be warmer than the bottom part. Circulating the air around helps minimize this.
