i don't know much about this song, just that i love it!
probably recorded after '42, when Henri toured Brazil with Ray Ventura and his orchestra. I think you can really hear some Brazilian influence...
If anyone has definitive info on this, please let me know! thanks

  • This song was written by Léo Ferré in 1948 or 1949. I heard it for the first time at the time of the death of Salvador on France-Inter in the emission of Philippe Meyer “La prochaine fois je vous le chanterai”. I heard then the song by Léo Ferré himself, but I really prefer it by Salvador. Ph. Meyer concluded his diffusion with these words: "Comment est-ce qu'on peut jouer de la guitare et chanter plus naturellement qu'Henri Salvador. Que la terre lui soit légère." I share his feeling.
