  • Sure can! Slow trolling and drifting livebaits is a very effective way to catch predators. Try and avoid going faster than 2-3 knots (1-2 is preferable), slow up if the bait is blowing out. and drift wherever possible to let the bait swim down deep.

  • Im not being weird, I used to hook live baits all the time as a kid, but I cant anymore, I put myself in every action do. For example, imagine having a thick spike shoved through your nose or upper lip, and then being lifted and thrown in a tiger tank. I dont see anything wrong, this kind of fishing is as fun as it gets, but a little respect is nice.

  • @TheSpitfire91 if you are worried about hurting fish then you shouldn't be fishing. How is bridling a live bait any different to catching a fish on a hook? Your comment seems a little hypocritical.

  • @gusto1978 seriously mate, you are a hypocritical fuckwit.

  • nice video, thanks for the info.

  • @fishcrazyoz Try using live bait on a stationary boat. Just put a circle hook in the tail.... and a balloon about a foot away from the bait. The second the balloon pops.... you got a fish.

  • @fishcrazyoz haha yeah, atleast this way you can get revenge on the murderous fish :)

  • @fishcrazyoz You should try rigging them by putting a hook in the back of the head and one in the mid section. Ang then put a balloon on the rig about 1 and a half feet away. But you cant troll with this rig. The second the balloon pops, you have a monster on.

  • nice piercing

  • excuse the noob question but can you troll with this rig?

  • @TheSpitfire9 But what if we need "live" bait?

  • Sweet easy way to bridle em up - thanks for the info - save all the tying dental floss rig.

  • This is probably a lame question, but the rod you used to pull the rubber band through the fish, where can you get those and what are they called?
