Video Description Rady's Children's Acute Care Pavilion is the first LEED-certified acute care hospital in California. It features: two 800-ton variable frequency drive chillers, premium efficiency motors, a light power density of 50 percent better than title 24 requirements, used local building materials and recycled when possible, and used low VOC-emitting paints, carpets and wood. Additionally, it selected water-efficient landscaping, high efficiency air conditioning and mechanical systems, and a green roof system that helps control rainwater run-off from the roof.
