Images from my first visit to Africa. Tropical weather, great beaches, wildlife, the Gambia River. The people are the best attraction, though, incredibly warm, friendly. For good reason is the Gambia called "the smiling coast of Africa."

  • looks great, I'd like to visit. I have to say though, captain birdseye isn't smiling at 3.40. Id still like him to be my granddad though.

  • @Nazisarehomosexual True, but then, nobody can smile EVERY minute of the day. Besides, the expression is really more of a metaphor for the general warmth and friendliness with which Gambians treat visitors. And in our time there, that proved to be very true. Definitely worth a visit in the dry season.
