  • What is the maximum speed you can get through the IDE? Is it better or worse than recent SD card mods that use the Dreamcast serial?

  • @ncloet As shown in video, dd(1) command says 1068204 bytes/sec on sequential read.

  • So, is it really a Dreamcast or an emulator or a modded Dreamcast?

  • @woolhat1 This is a real dreamcast, with "DCEXT" expansion board designed by Kiyoshi Ikehara.

  • holy shit how the hell did he get a nic working with the dreamcast, let alone an ide harddrive.

  • @METALMAN4Wii Dude read the description. It doesn't say HD anywhere. HDD means hard disk drive.

  • I don't get how a system made before HD technology was available can be hacked to HD ? but whatever you say also I thought the games have to be in HD for it to display it ? which again regular Dreamcast games aren't....!

  • good movie i love the sega dreamcast i have dreamcast........

  • Could you please add a link in the description where you have the site Kiyoshi Ikehara posted his plans on?

  • I want one!!

  • Ah, here's the video with an IDE HDD connected. Nice!
