well if your not breaking the law then you shouldnt be so worried about a camera watching traffic. explain to me the big deal? whats so wrong with our state wanting to look out for its residents? its not like its in your back yard invading your privacy its on PUBLIC property. how is it any diffrent from you or i installing survalliance cameras on our property? the state has a right to know whats going on on their property just like we have a right to know whats going on on our property. :)

It is supposed to be for monitoring the wash, However the way it is mounted is to optimize the view of the highway, It is remote controlled not automatic, And you cannot see the live feed online, It is a high resolution camera Not a low resolution! I am familiar with these cameras and the operating system. Interesting thing is these type of cameras dont have night vision to my knowledge, although they do have low light ability so what good is it at night? other than monitoring the highway?

Next time you go to the davis dam when you go past the turn for the lake going directly to the dam look up on the street light pole the have a small camera there. .Its not a weather camera.

highway dept weather cam. the ones you gotta worry about are the ones you cant see.

i do see your point on the east to west movement. but it is automatic, that is why it did not pan down. but if it is to watch traffic... i do not support it. but they would need to get a better camera, that one is low res.

it is a wash flood camera, you can see the live feed online.
