@tommicasey Don't worry they'll bring back intergenerational debt aka servitude. Your kids kids might pay off the debt eventually.

@tommicasey He didn't promise no tuition fees. If he was the largest or had a majority, the manifesto said to gradually reduce tuition fees one year at a time. The pledge was to not raise them and or make them fairer. Ok the former was clearly broken but the arguement is whether they are fairer - after all the 9k is just a number, we don't know how much people will actually end up paying. Studies have shown that people from poor backgrounds weren't put off by 3k fees.
-
@prigg88 That is completely besides the point. Clegg promised NO tuition fees. This would have made University a possibility for everyone. There are people who put off university even with tuition fees standing at the former 3000k a year due to expense, so do not dare excuse his lies.

Pity Clegg was not prime minister if he was Liberals could have controlled the Labour left and the Conservative right . He could have called on votes in parliament from all sides . The middle of the road is what we need not just left or right red or blue and this would have fitted in well for a Liberal lead Government .

@tommicasey except if you look at the repayment scheme - you end up paying less per month than under the current scheme.

That karate guy in the back ground is so pissed off he's gonna chop his head off

wasn't happy with tuition fees but i'm glad Clegg has come to his senses and now realises that education shouldn't be exclusive and should focus on those children who need help and are on free-school meals, lets see what he does next to help those in need
Clueless arsehole.
