Miki González - Vamos a Tocache.

Juan Manuel Gonzalez Masías - Miki Gonzalez, a Peruvian musician born in Spain. He had a formal musical training but always liked Afro-Peruvian music.

At the end of the seventies began to experiment with blues and folk music of the Peruvian coast of African roots, known as Afro-Peruvian music or simply "African." In the eighties, decided to start a career in popular music and formed a band, many of whose members later became popular Peruvian rock scene later, as "Hair" Madueno, who formed the League of Sleep and Wicho Garcia (now frontman Mar de Copas), although its members were major and emblematic Eduardo Freire (Danai and then Pateandolatas bassist) and Ballumbrosio Filomeno, a traditional percussionist black family Carmarthen. Miki Gonzales would take a course that ranged from new wave and Peruvian music itself. His first LP "You can be your" took shape in 1984 but was released two years later because the existing censorship, no label wanted it edited. Songs like "be you" (originally called "In the Jungle") were strong verse as "The Navy is in Ayacucho" and other songs bore verses like "I do not want bullets, I want to study," "clandestine airport, sudden millionaire." Perhaps the song was his hit softer "Tell me, tell me." In "many times" the songs became of other topics unrelated to the policy which had been flooded his first LP. Its high point in international popularity come with songs like "Akundún" (ethno-rock fusion Afro-Peruvian) and "green coca leaf" (ethno-rock fusion Andes, in allusion to the traditional use of coca leaf) . His early hits like "Lola", "Let Tocache" and "I'm in love" are also immensely popular.
