Come back to the messy workshop and work with B'sue as I show you, step-by-step, how to create deep gingerbread patina on raw brass stampings. This method is easy to accomplish and fun to experiment with, and is truly eco-friendly. Grab a coffee and visit with me for both Parts One and Two as I show you first how to prepare the bath, do the work, and what to expect from the metal. I'll also share my method for playing to the copper in the brass alloy to achieve a very cool verdigris on the findings. Part Two will discuss troubleshooting, buffing, raising highlights with the Dremel tool and/or simple greenie pad, and finishing/sealing the pieces for use in jewelry. All of the brass stampings and the wax sealant (Renaissance Wax) are available at http://www.bsueboutiques.com

  • have any ideas on how to patina copper and aluminum? I know I clean pennies with white vinegar and salt.

  • When I saw what your workshop looked like I liked you immediately.

  • Do you bake the pieces in the bath or take them out and bake them on a cookie sheet or something?
