It is the Afghans' responsibility to make sure terrorism does not come out of Afghanistan again, not the Americans' responsibility. Our actions should be limited to this: to remove the current terrorists, accomplish the retaliation necessitated by the 9/11 attack on us, then come back home.
If the Afghan people allow terrorists to gain power in their country, and that power is used against us, they should expect us to invade their country in retaliation. Otherwise we should stay out of it.
