Today, Monday 26th July, Chances for Life has been named as a finalist in the 'Best Education Project Category' of the National Lottery Awards 2010. The awards recognise the amazing work being done by lottery-funded groups across the UK. The aim is to highlight the significant difference that projects - both large and small - make to communities everywhere and to celebrate the achievements of the people behind them.
The Chances for Life project offers advice, information and support to young people under the age of 26 who are homeless, threatened with homelessness or who are vulnerable because of drug misuse, self-harming issues and social isolation. The aim of the project is to provide ongoing support to improve life skills and give participants the confidence and ability to move forward with their lives.
