@TrevorRules98 The nut needs to be cut and kept up well. Also try to keep the saddles as low as you can for the sake of a small break angle.

He forgot to mention at the end, for those that are new to the subject. The 5-th position method works for the E,B,D,A,e strings, for the G string (3rd) you must use the 4th position instead. Also when tuning the E string you don't figure out it's open value, you figure out the value of A, which is the actual 5th fret position. So basically you start out with position 5 on E, then 5 on B, 4 on G, 5 on D, 5 on A and 5 on e, comparing the 5th/4th fret and the previous string - open.
