Sometimes it a case of not just lying but saying things without printing. No one asked the casino lady anything but she started rambling on about the casino. The same thing happened in Liar Liar with jim carrey. Jim carrey didn't have to tell people he farted in the Elivator because no one asked if it was him. Lazy script writing
