The 70s for me was titty-horror time, sexy girls in cheap horror flicks like this was my only outlet, now i can only get turned on if I'm scared, so i just don't go to the cinema to watch horror anymore, although i did catch JAWS in 75 which resulted in a terrible incident, i apologized and we moved on.
I remember seeing this movie when it first came out back in 1972 when I was 12. Now I'm 51 and have hooked my kids to the Christopher Lee/ Peter Cushing Dracula films and they loved them. My 18 yr. old says they don't make films like this today.
And "Dracula and his vampire bride",and THIS one was the last!!It is awesome to think that he started his portrayal of Dracula in 1958 all the way to 1972,that is quite a time span for a movie character to stay popular,I always hoped that Christopher Lee would do just ONE more Dracula movie these days :-)There may be a chance, since" Hammer Studios" that he did all his past movies with has been reborn recently,Cone ON Sir Christopher Lee,show all of us them pearly whites one last time-thx 4 this!
Very cool movie!!!Lee and Cushing make a great match as good vs. evil!!The singer in the band at the first of this movie reminded me of Frank Zappa where Jessica and her (group) crashed a rick peoples party!!! am thinking that the part about rest in FINAL peace meant that this would be the last of Lee's Dracula movies..He had a lot..."horror of Dracula",Dracula:Prince of Darkness",Dracula has risen from the grave","taste the blood of Dracula","The last rites of Dracula",'"the scars of Dracula"
Excellent movie, I had never seen this, but had heard about it a long time ago. As far as I'm concerned, it is one of the better dracula movies ever. Lee and Cushing were, and are the epitome of bram stoker's creations. Thanks for show!
I've loved hammer films for as long as I can remember so I'm mystified how this film went under my radar. Loved it - the best Hammer Dracula film. Will probably have to buy a copy to add to my collection.
my first wife looked like her-STEPHANIE BEACHUM..met her around the time this movie came out..

I liked this a lot better the second time! How lucky is Beacham? She gets kisses and hugs from the great PC! I am jealous.
