The time has come to step forth from the Shadows. Revan had the vision of a united Galaxy under one banner. We are his legacy. Where his war ended, ours now begins.

The Jedi have become feeble and pathetic... it is our duty to replace the weak with the powerful.

We are Revan's Legacy.

We will create a strong and secure galaxy. Isn't that worth fighting for? Isn't that worth dying for?

We are his Legacy for we live on.

We are Revan's Legacy.

They got rid of there armies after Ruusan, the army wasn't massive at this point as it was, mainly because the jedi took up the role of the army, but after Ruusan, they thought the sith had been destroyed so the Jedi army was gotten rid of and over the years so did the Republic army as there was peace then, there were wars but small ones that the systems own forces dealt with. He was said to have become immortal and he also knew essence transfer, so forever theoretically, but we know he didn't.

I meant the army during the Grand Republic era, aka Movies era. Where did it go?

And well, Revan WAS a highly influential person.

He may not have been the strongest person, but he was definately the smartest since Bane centered the rule of two on Revan's holocron and Vitiate took over 300+ years to learn what Revan knew.

How long could Vitiate last? He'd postponed his life like 1400 years on I think, but how long could he live for?

Also technically there both the old republic, it was the same republic for 25, 000 years, but I know what you mean. Revan was the most powerful jedi of his time and he was also a good tactician-er. Sniper, the other one who comments a lot, I'm pretty sure he likes the era more than me, but I'm not entirely sure.

I did also say "he Jedi should have helped the Republic" but I was pointing out that they should not become the republics lap dogs like the order did after Ruusan. The army was still there but it was in a mess after the Mandalorian war, and then theres the Republic was struggling for credits, then didn't have enough to fund in re building the army, the Republic was in a complete mess, it made it a lot easier for Revan to exploit.

who likes that era more than you?

And to be honest, the Jedi from the Grand Republic era > Old Republic era.

I repeat again, WHAT happened to the Republic army for it to be gone?

And at least I can take solace in the fact that Revan was the strongest Jedi around. Those other idiots didn't do anything of any importance.

No, the Jedi are not supposed to govern the galaxy but guide it. They're following a path of Chaotic Good.

    "The Republic's lap dogs"

They didn't DO ANYTHING. They were uptight assholes saying they would help when they wanted to, and only the Jedi view mattered.

Then, like Caesar, for beating the enemy Revan was condoned as a villain.

Infact, one can find the situation EXACTLY the same.

    - Weak pathetic council refuses to help it's citizens

    - Beaten by weak people

    - Strong leader beats them back

I do know quite a bit having played the games read the books and some of the comics but I believe he likes that era more than me. Wheras I'm not particularly interested in the era, preferring rise of the empire onwards.

Well it is Lucas's universe, he could have not allowed EU books but he allowed it and the books have to fit as best as possible with his vision of the universe, if he says something happens in his universe then books have to fit around that. The Jedi should have helped the Republic, but the jedi should not be the republic lap dogs, they have to place themselves above the republic. I can't remember, it is mentioned in latter novels, ask sniper he knows more about Old republic than me.
