You forgot the other hidden characters from Twisted Metal Small Brawl. Darkside, Piecemeal, Mime, and Trapper.

Marcus becomes minion who now knows Calypso tricked him and sent him into the TM:Black universe. He Writes a series of coded ciphers stating he is trapped and plans to one day escape from this world. It doesn’t matter who wins next for they will only be born into the Black realm again.

If you wanted to make sense of it all then the timeline consists of Sweet Tooth winning the first game and becoming one of Calypsos drivers. Charlie was resurrected and given the ability to drive Dark tooth. In the second game Marcus Kills his brother Needles which enrages Charlie causing him to avenge his son’s death, unaware Marcus, too is his son. Marcus wins the competition and is awoken in Calypsos Black realm where fallen contestants endlessly battle.

Only in resent years has Needles Cain become a split personality. In '96 Needles and Marcus were brothers and Charlie was their father in TM1. If you think the whole series is meant to be consistent than I feel sorry for you. The games can not be linear after TM2, the developers take the lazy route and called it alternate dimensions. It is suggested in TM:B by Marcus as Minion, that once the contestants die they battle endlessly in Calypsos alternate realm.

@BIGROOSTER6954 you're wrong, Needles Kane is the alternate personality of Marcus Kane, they are the same person
