Maybe the father was religious and the daughters were not. he couldn't take it anymore so he killed them.. :-/ I'm a religious Muslim myself, and I never experienced this myself.. o.O

God's commandment shall not kill... Only God is the giver & can take your life. How can a father do this? He was following a false religion which doesn't teach you the truth which is in Jesus our saviour who died on the cross for our sins & resurrected on the third day. A true, loving father protects their child & family. This father was not in the right state of mind & I believe he was possess by a demon. God is real look at his creations earth, & you!!!
