  • I've not used Magnepans for years - how do MMG compare in the middles and highs with MG1 IMP and Tympani 1D? (if you're old enough to have heard those) - how are they on various drums?

  • More transparent then the older maggies, faster, not as deep in the bass though in most rooms, about 50hz the useable low frequencies. Recommend highly a fast Subwoofer for the lows and additional dynamics there. Thank you for your comment.

    best regards

    Vincedog3.

  • Can you please tell me the name of the song?

  • My Heart Won't Lie. by Oleta Adams. thanks for watching.

  • Sweet setup, I am an EMO fan too. I have the LPA-7 and LMC-1, toggle between HT and stereo in bypass mode...use Mirage OM-10 mains....good mix.

  • Very cool. thanks for the comment. I have since changed the preamplifier to the USP-1 and ERC-1 for the Cd player. both are great. thanks again for your comment.

  • way to much for one room and the hi-fi is way to close to the speakers especially when speakers are omni directional.....especially the bass notes...

  • @svtcontour you do talk bollox and lie....

you say you have some thing on every page you go to....lol....

  • I just got the MMGs and slowly sorting out where they will go. They definitely dont sound so good in the smaller room where my bookshelf / sub system is right now. Its in the living room now and its much better there. I am temporarily using a vintage yamaha 8" 100W subwoofer with it. Its actually quite a fast and accurate little sub providing I dont ask anything less than 30Hz from it and not at a loud volume. Its integrating well. I'm using a vintage Soundcraftsmen amp and pre with the MMGs.

  • W A R M & slow

    Love it

  • Nice music, have to get one of this, thanks a lot.
