  • Poor Arlene getting picked on..lol "what does she do that I don't do?"

Dorothy: "well I have three children."

  • Arlene is so extravagant with her wardrobe.

She probably did have alot of expensive clothing.

Wonderful woman. And her husband (Martin Gabel) is HILARIOUS!

    They seem so happy together.

  • Over its 17 years in prime time, WML had several contestants relating to diapers, including one on their very first show.

  • You know, John keeps saying that he doesn't know anything about the product- yet he had a few young children at this time, from his second marriage. How sad that he probably never changed a diaper in his life. Oh well, that's how it was back then, I guess.

  • 8:30 Dorothy looks pissed that she didn't get it. That woman played to win!!

  • Arlene was one of Scaasi's first celebrity clients, her clothes were gorgeous!

  • What amazes me is the fact that although this episode was obviously made several years after the episode featuring the diaper designer, the questions are almost identical, as though they remember the previous guest.

Also, after seeing the exchange tens of time, I finally figured out what Martin meant when he said "Because it costs less than $3000,"

  • This is January 3, 1965. My handy-dandy Internet inflation calculator tells me that $3,000 in 1965 is the equivalent of $20,000 today.

  • @americanidol510 wow i had to come back to see what you responded to!! lol,

yeah, my comment didn't have anything to do with Arlene's son, it was funny to watch Arlene rack her brain thinking about what does Dorothy do that she doesn't ...lol

  • @Imthecuteone well technically when this took place Arlene's son was younger than Dorothy's eldest two children, Dorothy's youngest would have been about 9 or 10 at the time so the comment really doesnt make much sense.

  • I think Arlene was one of the most consistently employed/hardest working women ever in show business and if she wanted something that cost $3000, what's the big deal? Not to mention that Martin's remark was a pretty cheap shot to make on live TV.
