Haiti: Where Did the Money Go? Episode 5

In January 2010, a 7.0 earthquake devastated Haiti. The international community, including one out of two Americans, pledged billions of dollars in aid, yet the nation has seen little improvement. Three hundred thousand died, nearly two million live in ramshackle tent cities. Cholera has swept through the population, killing thousands and hospitalizing many others. Only about 2% of the rubble has been cleared.

Is this what you expected when you pledged your aid dollars? Independent journalists Film@11.tv journeyed to Haiti in November 2010 to see the situation for themselves, and dig into the burning question: what happened to all that money?

I saw this entire show on PBS Channel 13 last night. In scanning this 5-part video series on Youtube, one thing struck me....where are the interviews with the Red Cross and that Christian orgainzation...why aren't they included here? They are important for people to see because it was incredible how SMUG and NONCHALANT these people were about the plight of the Haitians...

Get big companys out there like mcdonalds. Get mcdonalds to buy the land & build. After its built put up the name of your company, mcdonalds. Flood the west with videos of what good u have done. Im sure the good advertisement would do good for your business and profits. Make it into a company competition, get google out there trying to rival them. Do something, its not right. If the money was there im sure builders all over the world would help for less. Unfortunately governments dont want this.
