I want to debate your cruel and unnecessary treatment of venomfangx.

freeamerika00, it is fucktards like you that will keep the Republicans out of power for two decades
VenomfangX was a FRAUDSTER, even his parents know that. Can you imagine being a 24 year old fucktard who doesn't even realize he is committing fraud against sick kids hospital and has to be bitch slapped by his daddy?

I guess I'm a bit behind on things having left for a while, what does PCS mean? I mean, I understand it's VFX's nickname, but what does it stand for?

It's fairly easy. You sign up for an account, I'll create a room, you download "Manycam" (which lets you use a static image as a virtual webcam so you can represent your side on the dock), I'll give you a link to the room, you'll join the primary view next to my window, and we'll begin an audio debate.

Hi, this was probably just you saying the wrong word but reductio ad absurdum is fine, what you were talking about is argument from incredulity. Reductio ad absurdum is just proof by contradiction which is fine.
Good idea with the debate though, hope it goes well.

Thanks for trying to clear that up, but I think you might be mistaken mate, have a look at the wiki for reductio ad absurdum. :-) Let me know if I'm wrong :P

It can lead to straw man arguments, but not necessarily. It's a technique used often especially in mathematics. For example, the proof that the square-root of 2 is irrational is a reductio ad absurdum proof (basically it assumes it's rational, and shows that that's ridiculous). If you look at the proof by contradiction wiki page it goes into much more detail, explaining it's synonyms and the precise logical and mathematical definitions of it.

At this point I still tend to disagree, in that I think there may be two definitions for it. (However I admit my example referred less to RAA then to the straw man argument I was talking about a moment ago) - but you've encouraged me to go research it, which I'll do now, so thank ye ^_^
